After 3 Year Battle with IRS Ministry finally gets Tax Exempt Status |
| Kansas City, Feb. 1, 2007: After a 3 year "battle" with the IRS and many dollars spend on legal fees, the tax exempt status according to IRS Code 501c3 was finally granted to Walterick Publishing Ministries, Inc., who have their head quarters in Kansas City, Kansas. According to Chairman Dr. Steve Price "...the victory is the Lord's. Yes, the IRS made us jump thru hoops, but now we rejoice and celebrate the Lord's victory in all of this!". He also explained how the IRS forced the restructering of the initial legal entity in to two seperate ones - one for-profit company and one non-profit entity. The for-profit corporation was incorporated with the state of Kansas as "Walterick Media Sales, Inc." and the not-for-profit organisation as "Walterick Publishing Ministries, Inc." Both Entities are seperate legal organisations, with seperate governing bodies. <PFC> |
